TEC is the world’s leader in the design and supply of large Aerospace Autoclave Systems*. We have designed and manufactured more 15-foot diameter and larger autoclaves than all other manufacturers combined worldwide. Due to TEC's unparalleled experience, we recently provided Spirit AeroSystems with the first 30-foot, working diameter system, under budget and on time.

TEC also designed and supervised the construction and installation of two large Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Autoclave Systems in Japan for the Boeing 787 Program, making TEC the largest supplier of 787 Autoclave Systems world-wide.

TEC has been successfully designing and building large Autoclave Systems for nearly 40 years. As pioneers in the industry, Thermal Equipment Corporation published Autoclave Cure Systems* in the ASM Engineering Handbook 20 years ago, most of which remains relevant to Autoclave Systems today "It's What We Do", and we do it better than anyone else in the Autoclave Industry world-wide.

Boeing's 787 Dreamliner

TEC designed and constructed three (3) of the primary Autoclave Systems in use by Boeing and their partners to produce the new 787 Dreamliner. We are currently building additional large Autoclave Systems for the 787 Dreamliner program at Boeing Winnipeg and Spirit AeroSystems, Tulsa.

Autoclave Systems

Autoclave Systems remain our core business. TEC has more than 500 units in daily service world-wide ranging in sizes from 1' to 30' in diameter and performing a wide range of duties, including composite bonding, metal-to-metal bonding, glass lamination, carbonization, graphitization, de-waxing, hydrostatic testing, vulcanization and more. We manufacturer Hydroclave Systems as well, for use with phenolics and ablatives.

Press Systems

Many of the state-of-the-art functions that make our Autoclave Systems so reliable have been incorporated into the TEC Press System applications from helicopter blades to Space Shuttle structures. Press Systems are designed to cure composite parts that are laid-up in two part mandrels. The mandrel is moved into the Press System on a conveyor. The Press System then lowers and clamps the mandrel with up to 2 million pounds of force. The part is then cured with an electric or gas fired heating system.

ACCS™ Control Systems

ACCS™ is the industry standard in Autoclave control software. Based on the proven ACCS-HP™ and ACCS-PC™ products, ACCS™ has been installed on more autoclaves than all other Autoclave software packages combined. With almost 30 years of proven performance, ACCS™ is constantly updated to take advantage of today's computer hardware and operating systems while supporting a broad range of new and legacy data acquisition hardware.

TEC wrote the book on Autoclave computer controls. Many have tried to copy but no one can match our record of safety and reliability.

TEC's Design & Manufacturing Capabilities

Our process begins by engineering the design specifications to meet the unique requirements of each customer and the particulars of the items that are being cured. The equipment is then fabricated to these specifications, extensively tested and if size and weight permit, shipped for installation. Alternatively, TEC specializes in the field construction of large Systems. In either case, skilled field technicians are dispatched to ensure the successful installation and operation of the product. All TEC products adhere to the following applicable certifications and standards... ASME "S" and "U" stamps, NBIC "R" stamp, and ANSI.
